Innovative Student Engagement & Program Impact Award
Description:
The Innovative Student Engagement and Program Impact Award recognizes individuals or teams within the Division of Student Success who have demonstrated exceptional innovation in creating or enhancing a program or activity that significantly improves student engagement, health and wellness, access and support, or the overall student experience. This award highlights collaborative, project-based efforts that lead to measurable progress in achieving the Division’s strategic goals.
Nominees must show how their work has not only benefited students directly but also contributed to long-term improvements in areas such as resilience, self-advocacy, and overall well-being. Innovative programs should be no more than two years old and should reflect creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to transforming the student experience. Programs that foster student success, promote well-being, or streamline services to improve engagement will be strongly considered.
Eligibility:
- All staff members within the Division of Student Success are eligible.
- Teams may come from a single department or multiple departments across the university.
- Team members must have worked together on the project, and the initiative should reflect an innovative approach to improving student engagement or services.
Nomination deadline is March 31, 2025
Criteria for the Award:
The selection committee will evaluate nominations based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:
- Innovation in Design and Delivery: Demonstrates an innovative approach to designing or delivering an initiative that significantly improves student engagement, involvement, health and wellness, access and support, or the residential experience.
- Collaborative Co-Curricular Programming: Involves collaboration with faculty, staff, and/or external partners to create and deliver a co-curricular program that enhances the student experience.
- Impact on Student Success: Provides measurable evidence of the program’s contribution to student success, including academic, personal, or professional growth.
- Increasing Student Resiliency and Well-Being: Contributes to student resiliency through a program that promotes self-advocacy, emotional well-being, and personal growth.
- Problem Solving and Efficiency: Generates innovative solutions or new methods that streamline processes, improve student services, or enhance engagement, resulting in a positive impact on student success.
